Sacred Life, Now is the Time

2 Months ago this tree was a awesome sight. It's magnificence was amazing. I had dreams of journaling in the warm weather and collecting some zen moments. I missed my chance. As if we needed more house, brand new houses!

My sacred zen place has been destroyed and in it's place more construction!

I have learned in the last couple of months that time is so precious. We take so much for grant it in our lives, our relationships, our riches, nature, life in general. The passing of my dad has brought that sacredness to the forefront.

There is so many blessings around, so much beauty, sometimes it's overwhelming to see the masterpiece of life fully. When we had our car I took for grant it all the beauty, I had around me. Not having a car I get the gift of seeing a lot of those masterpieces of my little world. Sometimes, I still don't take the time to see and appreciate that beauty, but I have more opportunity to notice and have those zen moments!

My New Outfit

Here is my new out fit. I revamed this skirt and bag. It use to be a dress, basic tank like dress that I no longer liked. I cut it in half and added the trim and the elastic and my skirt was done. Than I took the top and cut the straps and tied them sewed the bottom and now I have a skirt and matching bag.

Joy thinking food must be around!

crafting a faery

Went to my favorite store, Habitant for Hubanity. Found this sweet tiny little bottle. Collected the items I had floating around the house and choose to make this tiny sweet tiny faery. I used a african seed for her head, yarn for her arms and legs and wool for her hair and a blue marker for her eye and red for her mouth.
Here it's is all done."

She is regaining her health

She is looking beautiful again! Here are her roots. Where she only had dried up or none she now has them on all her pads.

My Cactus is Bleeding, Can I Save Her

Sometimes, we take that life is more than just us, for grant it. We are all feeling beings: plant , animal or human.

Her roots are dry. I have to handle them with care or they brake. Some of her pads have no roots at all.

While I was trying to save my cactus, I saw her root system and felt sad and was profoundly touched by seeing her bleed. She is alive. She had been through a lot the previous seasons.

As I took care to bring her back to life, my connection to Mother Earth flows into my consciousness. Each moment we are all reborn and die.

This time of the year is about rebirth. The story of my Cactus is also a perfect story of rebirth.
This is my Cacti. I know it's hard to believe that I really have a cacti in there, but look again!

My Cacti has a story. Almost 8 years ago I found this cacti along side my street. Someone had threw it out, on the side of the road. It only had one tiny trunk and half of that was not looking too good. She had been through a lot and I knew that I could help to save her and bring it back to life.

See, I told you there was a Cacti in there. Ok, back to the story. I picked it up and took it home. I put it in a pot and it just Several years lated we moved into our own home and it needed some TLC , so I told my husband," That I was going to plant her outside. We Planted it outside our window. She didn't seem to like the spot so much. Than my dh had this idea to replant her. So we moved her next to the garden.

This again proved to be a bad choice. Everyone ran over her. Though she bloomed last summer. The winter and early spring proved to be almost to hard on her. She was almost rotting/dying. Here is the picture story of her recovery:

Our Herb Garden

This is our Joy, before we stared to garden. Our little jungle .
It was so hot, the only relief was the garden. Buddha enjoys the coolness of the tall long grass.

Autumne begins with gets the major load of grass out of the herb garden. This is what the garden looked like when we started.
Day 2, and we are seeing progress. I actually have more than grass in my herb garden. YEA!!
Here is our garden day 3. I can see my rosemary and lavender.
