One small step leads to many

This began as a fun thing to do. I never imagine that it would result in such an amazing learning and growing experience. A year ago I started with one small kumbucha mushroom. My husband was very nervous to have this thing on top on our frig. I can't tell you how often I would hear," Hon, I don't know about that, I can't trust that." You can eat it, but I don't know about it." Month after month, he would look at it and looking at it fearfully. Than one day he gave it a try and now he will ask me, "Hon, when is there going to be more Kumbucha. "

I have made yogurt, keifer milk, butter and now I am going to make some keifer butter and sour cream. I am more in the kitchen now preparing fermented foods than I have ever been in the kitchen preparing food. I don't like to cook I would say and my husband would do the cooking. I am learning to love to create fermented foods, who knows maybe one day I will love to cook . ... .. well, maybe not!
